We dive the spots where visibility holds up. Shore dives run at Nemo Reef; boat dives go out to Tribe Gate and The Wall. We pick the site to match the day’s conditions.
We run courses at every level, from Try Scuba to Divemaster. Learn from certified RAID instructors in calm, warm water.
Most travellers who write to us have the same question: which dive should I pick? Here is how we explain it at the dive centre.
A try dive needs no licence and no swimming. After training in waist-deep water, your instructor takes you onto the reef at a maximum depth of 12 metres. You can walk in from the shore at Nemo Reef, or take a short boat ride to quieter reefs like Tribe Gate, where the water is clearer and the fish life is bigger. Read about diving as a beginner or non swimmer to see which suits you. If you are nervous, start with the shore dive; it is the gentlest introduction we know.
If you hold an Open Water licence or higher, Havelock is where Indian divers come to spend their logged dives. Johnny's Gorge, Dixon's Pinnacle and The Wall carry sharks, rays, turtles and schooling barracuda through the season, and boat rides from the jetty are short. We sort groups by experience, so you are never stuck swimming behind a training batch. See our fun dive packages or browse all 21 dive sites to plan your days.
Havelock is one of the calmest and most affordable places in the world to get certified. The RAID Open Water 20 course takes 3 to 4 days, our batches stay at a maximum of four students per instructor, and the water holds 27 to 30 degrees all year. Shallow training bays and daily boat access to real reefs mean students here progress faster than in cold-water destinations. Dates and details are on our courses page.
Every Frogman package includes equipment, training, hotel pickup and free photos and videos, and our full price list is published so you can compare before you book. Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp and tell us who is coming - age, swimming comfort, any medical points. We will suggest the right dive honestly, even if it is the cheaper one. That is how a local dive centre works.
