The scuba diving price in Havelock starts at ₹3,500 per person for a shore dive at Nemo Reef and goes up to ₹7,500 per person for a boat dive at Aquarium. Every price is inclusive of GST, so the amount you see is the amount you pay. Every rate covers your instructor, all equipment, hotel pickup, photos and videos.
That is the short answer. Below I have explained what actually changes the Havelock scuba diving cost, so you can decide which dive is right for you instead of only picking the cheapest one.
Three things move the price. The first is whether you walk into the water or take a boat. A shore dive at Nemo Reef is the cheapest scuba diving in Havelock because there is no boat involved. You walk in from Beach No. 2, the reef is shallow, and the whole thing is very gentle. That is why it sits at ₹3,500.
The second is how far the boat has to travel. Red Pillar is close, so it is ₹4,000. Turtle Beach and Aquarium are further out and the fuel and boat time show up in the rate, which is why those are ₹7,000 and ₹7,500. Nothing else changes between them. You get the same instructor ratio, the same 30 minutes underwater and the same photos at every site.
The third is time underwater. Every package here is 30 minutes in the water. If you want longer, we add ₹1,000 per person and you get 45 minutes instead, with 10 more photos and 2 more videos. Most people who have travelled a long way to get here end up taking it.
Per person, always. Every number on this page is for one diver. There is no group rate that gets quietly removed later and no per-couple pricing. If four of you are diving at Nemo Reef, the amount is ₹3,500 multiplied by four. Nothing is added on top. If you are a group of four or more and want to ask about a discount, message us on WhatsApp before you book and we will tell you honestly whether we can do anything.
No. This is the part people ask about most, because it is common in the islands to be quoted one number and pay another. The scuba diving charges in Havelock on this page include your RAID certified instructor in the water with you one to one, the full set of equipment, the boat where a boat is used, pickup and drop from your hotel anywhere in Havelock, 20 to 30 underwater photos, 3 to 4 videos, and water and snacks afterwards.
The only things charged separately are the ₹1,000 extra time upgrade if you choose it, GoPro rental at ₹2,000 a day if you want to shoot your own footage, and dive computer rental at ₹500 a day, which only matters if you are doing a course. Photos and videos are never an extra. Some centres charge for them, we do not.
Ten percent to hold your slot, and the rest at the dive centre on the day of your dive. On a ₹3,500 shore dive that is ₹350 to confirm. You can also pay the full amount online if you prefer to have it done. Both options are on the booking form, and payment goes through Razorpay.
If you are comparing the cost of scuba diving in Havelock Island across dive centres, compare the same things. Ask how many divers one instructor takes at a time, because that is the single biggest safety difference and the easiest thing to hide in a low quote. Ask whether photos and videos are included or billed after. Ask whether pickup is included. Ask how long you are actually underwater, because 15 minutes and 30 minutes are sold at similar prices by different centres.
Our scuba diving in Havelock packages are built so that the number you see is the number you pay. We would rather quote ₹3,500 honestly than quote ₹2,500 and add on the rest once you are standing on the beach.
If you have never dived and you are nervous about the water, book Nemo Reef. It is shallow, calm, close to shore and the easiest introduction. If you are reasonably comfortable in water and want the better reef, Red Pillar at ₹4,000 or Tribe Gate at ₹4,500 give you noticeably more to look at for a small jump in price. If you want the best coral we dive and you are not counting rupees, take Turtle Beach or Aquarium.
Non‑swimmers can do all of these. Your instructor holds you and controls the buoyancy for the whole dive. The minimum age for a beginner dive in Havelock is 10 years, and there is no upper age limit. Children aged 8 and 9 can do the RAID Try Dive Cadet in shallow water only, up to 2 m. You only need a doctor's sign-off if you answer yes to a medical question. The price is the same for every diver, whatever their age. Everyone fills in a short medical questionnaire on the day.
October to May gives the best diving conditions in Havelock, with visibility between 15 and 30 metres. December to February is peak season with the calmest seas. Light rain does not stop diving, because underwater visibility depends far more on the tides than on surface weather.

If the sea is too rough to dive safely we either reschedule you at no extra cost or refund you in full, including the advance you paid. We make that call on the morning of the dive and tell you as early as we can.

Our visit to Havelock (Govind nagar Beach) with Frogman for scuba diving and snorkeling was an absolutely amazing experience. Everything was organized very well by Mr. Suchit Sir, who was present throughout the entire experience and made sure we were comfortable and safe at all times.
