About Turtle Beach snorkeling

Turtle Beach is off the south-east coast of Havelock, a relaxed boat ride along the shore. A staghorn coral garden covers most of the reef, the water is the calmest and clearest of any site we use, and there is rarely another boat.

You snorkel straight off the boat at the mooring for 30 to 40 minutes. On the guided rate your guide stays in the water with you and carries a GoPro the whole time; you get 20 photos and 2 videos sent to your phone before you leave.

What you'll see from the surface

Staghorn coral garden. Branching Acropora covers most of the reef and is visible from the surface in full light.
Reef fish. Damselfish, butterflyfish and parrotfish over the coral.
Stingrays. Resting on the sand patches between the coral.
Sea turtles. Seen on some sessions; the site is named for them but a sighting is never guaranteed.

Yes. Book the guided rate: we give you a life vest that holds you at the surface with no effort, and your guide is in the water beside you for the whole session.

Guided (₹5,500) means your guide is in the water with you the whole time, which is what non-swimmers and first-timers need. The swimmer rate (₹5,000) is for people confident in open water; your guide stays on the boat and you snorkel with the group. Both include the same gear, boat and GoPro photos.

The speedboat to Turtle Beach and back; mask, snorkel and fins; a life jacket if you need one; your guide; and 20 GoPro photos plus 2 videos sent to your phone.

Ages 8 and above at boat sites. Kids under 12 need a parent or guardian in the water with them. We fit child-sized masks and fins at the jetty.

Cancel 72 hours or more before your slot and you get a full refund, minus a 5% payment gateway fee and GST. Inside 72 hours, or if you do not show up, there is no refund. Weather cancellations on our side are refunded in full.
