The Try Scuba Diving program sits between a basic try dive and a full certification course — more thorough than one, less commitment than the other. You'll spend 3.5–4 hours learning to actually dive: theory, confined water skills practice, and then an open water dive at a real dive site.
The open water dive is the centrepiece. You choose the site - from the sheltered shore entry at Nemo Reef (₹3,500) up to premium offshore sites like Turtle Beach and Aquarium (₹7,500). Your instructor is with you throughout the entire dive. GoPro photos and videos are included in every package.

Credit toward certification: Your RAID intro dive counts as the first dive of your Open Water Diver course. If you decide to get certified after your intro dive, you start the OW course ahead. Ask us about our RAID Open Water course options.
Everything from the theory session to the GoPro content is covered - including hotel pickup/drop within 5km of the dive centre.
Health note: intro dive is not suitable for guests with heart conditions, uncontrolled asthma, active ear infections, or recent surgery. A medical declaration form is completed on the day. If you're unsure, call us first - we'd rather advise correctly than have you show up and not be able to dive.
Your open water intro dive dive takes place at the site you select when booking. Each site has a different price based on boat time, distance, and the experience level of the diving environment. All sites are suitable for first-time divers on intro dive - the difference is in the scenery and what you'll see.
Havelock's most accessible intro dive site - wade in from the beach. Clownfish in anemones at 1–3m, coral gardens, calm sheltered water. Best for those who want the simplest entry experience at the lowest price.

No - the Try Scuba Diving program is designed for complete beginners with no prior experience. You don't need to know how to swim. The theory session and confined water practice prepare you fully before the open water dive. You'll be diving with a certified instructor at a 1:2 ratio maximum.
A intro dive is a structured RAID program: you learn actual diving skills (mask clearing, regulator recovery, buoyancy control, equalisation) in confined water before your open water dive. A basic try dive typically skips the skills component - an instructor demonstrates and you follow. The intro dive produces a RAID digital certificate and counts as Dive 1 of the Open Water course if you decide to certify later.
Yes - you can select or change your dive site when you confirm your booking via WhatsApp. If you're unsure at the time of booking, select Nemo Reef as the default and let us know your preference when we confirm. Upgrades to a different site are straightforward - just pay the difference.
The price difference reflects boat time, fuel, and crew logistics - not the difficulty of the dive. Nemo Reef (₹3,500) is a shore entry with no boat required. Aquarium and Turtle Beach (₹7,500 each) involve longer offshore boat journeys. The intro dive program itself is identical at every site - the difference is purely the destination you dive.
Yes - your RAID intro dive dive counts as the first required open water dive of the RAID Open Water 20 course. If you decide to get certified after your intro dive experience, you start the course one dive ahead. Ask us about continuing with our RAID Open Water or RAID Open Water 20 certification program.
The standard intro dive includes a 40–45 minute open water dive. For an additional ₹1,500, your instructor extends your dive time by 15 minutes - giving you approximately 55–60 minutes underwater. This is particularly worthwhile at the premium sites (Lighthouse, Aquarium, Turtle Beach) where there is more to see and more ground to cover.
The listed prices (₹3,500–₹7,500) exclude GST. 18% GST applies as per Indian government regulations. For example, the ₹3,500 Nemo Reef intro dive totals ₹4,130 with GST, and the ₹7,500 Aquarium intro dive totals ₹8,850 with GST. Your invoice will show the full breakdown.
