Is island hopping in Andaman and Nicobar a single tour?

Most island hopping in Andaman and Nicobar is sold as a day-trip charter from Havelock or Port Blair. The Nicobar group itself is a restricted area, not open to tourists. Our routes cover Ritchie's Archipelago from Havelock — the accessible uninhabited cluster east of Havelock.

Is the boat a private charter or shared?

Private. Your group has the boat to itself. The per-person price is ₹7,500 when filling a small group; the full-boat private charter rate is ₹35,000 and gets you the entire vessel for any group size up to 8.

Do non-swimmers need to know swimming?

No. Every guest gets a Coast Guard life jacket and an in-water guide. Snorkel stops are 1 to 4 metres deep, so you can keep your head above water and still see clownfish, parrotfish and live coral.

What if the weather is bad on the day?

Captain or Coast Guard call it off if the sea state isn't safe. We reschedule or refund 100%. The forecast is checked the night before; you'll know by 7pm.

Is GST included in the price?

Yes. Every price shown is inclusive of GST. Only the Forest Department permit is separate from the listed price.

About Andaman island hopping

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands hold hundreds of islands. The public ferry stops at four of them. Everything else - the uninhabited cluster of Ritchie's Archipelago just east of Havelock: John Lawrence, Wilson, Peel and Nicholson - sits on islands no ferry visits. So you charter a boat. We've been running ours out of Havelock for over a decade.

Trips leave from Govind Nagar Jetty at Havelock Beach No. 3 - a 4 to 5 hour run, your group only. Skip a stop, swap an island, sit on a beach for an extra hour - the captain works around what you want.

How a typical trip looks

This is a sample 4 to 5 hour Ritchie's Archipelago route from Havelock. Times shift with the wind and what your group wants to do. Want a different schedule, an extra island, or a fully custom day? WhatsApp us and we'll plan it around you.

Step 1

Hotel pickup & briefing

We pick you up from your Havelock resort and drive to Govind Nagar Jetty. Coffee, route briefing, life-jacket fit on the boat.

Step 2

Cast off from Beach No. 3

Boat departs. Calm-water cruise out to the first reef. Dolphins are common on the run out.

Step 3

Lighthouse snorkel

Anchor at the first reef of the day. 30 to 40 minutes in the water with a guide and a GoPro. Reef top at 3-4 m, clownfish guaranteed, healthy hard and soft coral patches.

Step 4

Beach stop & refreshments

Beach landing at Wilson or John Lawrence - swim, walk, take photos. Mineral water, juice and snacks served onboard. No hot lunch on this 4-5 hour trip.

Step 5

Second snorkel stop

One more reef on the way back, usually Peel or Nicholson. Pristine coral, almost no traffic, 30 minutes in the water.

Step 6

Cruise back & hotel drop

Slow return to Beach No. 3. GoPro footage WhatsApped before you leave the boat. Drop at your hotel. Total trip 4 to 5 hours.

Our visit to Havelock (Govind nagar Beach) with Frogman for scuba diving and snorkeling was an absolutely amazing experience. Everything was organized very well by Mr. Suchit Sir, who was present throughout the entire experience and made sure we were comfortable and safe at all times.
The team was extremely professional, supportive, and friendly. Safety was clearly their top priority, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Underwater, we saw beautiful corals and a wide variety of colorful fish in the deep sea it was truly a different and unforgettable world.
I sincerely thank the entire Frogman team and everyone who supported us during the activity. I would highly recommend Frogman to anyone visiting for scuba diving or snorkeling. Keep up the great work, guys!

What an experience! We as a family enjoyed every bit of this activity. We did the lighthouse scuba dive. Never had the experience this close with the variety of fishes and corels. Must do while in Havelock and frogman makes scuba diving comfortable and relaxing. Founder Suchit is very professional and the instructors and divers are also very professional. They all know their responsibilities and passion. Neelkant, Ketan, Rubin and other divers were very patient and explained everything (does and don't) underwater. The team really makes u comfortable and tries to push themselves and us for an excellent experience. If time permits, will book this dive again. If not for sure next time.

We had a wonderful experience with Frogman. We had Neelkanth and Ketan sir as our diving instructors. It was our first time trying it out. The pre-training was very clear. In the first 10 minutes open sea, I even had a panic reaction, but Neelkanth sir calmly got me to the surface and explained my mistake patiently, and we went back underwater, and it went all superbly well!
