PADI Rescue Diver Course in Andaman – Emergency Training

The most rewarding course in diving. Learn to prevent and manage emergencies. 3–4 days of “serious fun.”

Course Overview: "Serious Fun"

The philosophy of this course is simple: Prevention is better than cure. You will expand your awareness of the environment and your buddy. Through realistic scenarios, you will build the confidence to handle high-stress situations.

What will you learn?

  • Self-Rescue: How to fix your own problems (cramps, out of air, vertigo) so you don’t become a victim.

  • Recognizing Stress: How to spot a panicked diver before they bolt to the surface.

  • Emergency Management: Coordinating a search for a missing diver.

  • In-Water Rescue: surfacing an unconscious diver and administering rescue breaths while towing.

Who Is This For?

  • Advanced Divers: Who want to improve their confidence.
  • Future Pros: This is a mandatory step towards becoming a Divemaster.
  • Parents: Great for diving parents who want to keep their kids safe.

The Scenario-Based Itinerary

Day 1: Theory & Self-Rescue
Review of dive emergency theory. In shallow water (Nemo Reef), we practice self-rescue skills and helping tired/panicked divers at the surface.

Day 2: Rescue Exercises
The intensity increases. We practice underwater problems: searching for missing divers using compass patterns, surfacing an unresponsive diver, and removing equipment while towing.

Day 3: Final Scenarios (The Real Deal)
Your instructor will set up realistic “accidents.” You act as the leader.

    • Scenario 1: Unresponsive diver underwater.

    • Scenario 2: Panicked diver on the surface.

    • You must locate, bring to surface, providing rescue breaths, and exit onto the boat/beach.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the course dangerous?

No. All scenarios are simulated in a controlled environment. However, it is physically demanding as you will be towing other divers and climbing onto boats with gear.

Do I really need CPR training (EFR)?

Yes. PADI standards strictly require valid CPR/First Aid training. If your certificate is expired (older than 2 years), you must refresh it. We offer the Emergency First Response (EFR) course right here at Frogman.

Will I actually dive?

Yes, but this is not a sightseeing course. You will be too busy looking for “missing” divers and managing stress to look at the fish!

Why do people call it "Serious Fun"?

Because while the topic is serious (saving lives), the role-playing scenarios are often hilarious and high-energy. It bonds you with your dive buddies like no other course.
