The Emergency First Response course teaches you how to respond confidently when someone needs help — whether it's a diver on a boat, a family member at home, or a stranger in the street. In just one day, you'll learn to perform CPR, use an AED, manage serious bleeding, and handle a range of first aid scenarios with real hands-on practice.
No medical background required. No diving experience needed. It's designed for ordinary people — the focus is on what you do in the minutes before professional help arrives.
EFR is also the mandatory first aid prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster certifications — making it an essential step on the path to becoming a diving professional.
One fee covers everything for the day — instruction, all training equipment, and your internationally recognised EFR digital certification card.
The EFR course has virtually no entry barriers. It is designed to be accessible to everyone — the goal is to put life-saving skills into as many hands as possible.
The EFR course is structured as a single full day — typically running 9am to 4pm. It alternates between short knowledge sessions and hands-on practice drills, so the day moves quickly and there's very little passive sitting.
No — this course has nothing to do with scuba diving. It's a dry, classroom-based first aid and CPR course that is open to everyone. Many of our EFR students are not divers at all — they're travellers, hotel staff, water sports instructors, or locals who want practical emergency skills.
Yes — PADI EFR is internationally recognised and accepted by many employers as a valid workplace first aid certification. It meets ILCOR (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation) CPR guidelines and is widely accepted across the marine, hospitality, and outdoor education industries worldwide.
There is no written exam. The instructor evaluates your practical skills during the final scenarios — it's a competency sign-off, not a graded test. The goal is to ensure you can perform the skills, not to trick you with theory questions. Almost every participant passes on the day.
EFR certification is valid for 24 months from the date of issue. After expiry you can take a shorter EFR refresher course (typically half a day) to renew without repeating the full course. PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster applications require a valid (non-expired) EFR card.
Yes — and this is the most popular combination at Frogman. EFR takes one day; Rescue Diver starts the following morning. We coordinate this seamlessly so there's no gap or wasted travel days. If you're planning both, contact us to book the combination and we'll schedule it as a single block.
It may — PADI accepts equivalent first aid and CPR certifications from recognised organisations including Red Cross, St John Ambulance, and others, provided the cert is current (within 24 months). If you're unsure whether your existing cert qualifies for Rescue Diver entry, send us a photo of the card and we'll confirm.
The listed price of ₹12,000 excludes GST. 18% GST is applicable as per Indian government regulations, bringing the total to ₹14,160. Your invoice will show the full breakdown.
Did EFR before my Rescue Diver course. What surprised me is how practical the whole day is — barely any classroom theory, mostly hands-on drills. I left feeling genuinely prepared, not just certified. The instructor was calm, thorough, and excellent at explaining the why behind every skill.
I took this as a standalone course — not a diver at all. The skills I learned in one day are things I genuinely hope I never need, but I'm so glad I have them now. The AED training alone made it worth it. Great instructor, relaxed pace, very thorough.
Booked EFR + Rescue Diver as a combo. EFR on Day 1 made the Rescue Diver course make so much more sense — having the first aid foundation fresh in your head when you start the rescue scenarios is a huge advantage. Highly recommend doing them back to back at Frogman.
Came for this as a non-diver and was pleasantly surprised by how accessible and well-structured it was. No drowning in jargon, just clear and practical instruction. The mannequin CPR drills are done until you get them right, not just ticked off. Walked away genuinely confident.

The staff was genuinely helpful and made me feel comfortable, especially since I was a bit nervous about diving. Would definitely recommend to others.Posted on tiredofwhatVerified Happy about the decision to do scuba with Frogman What an experience! We as a family enjoyed every bit of this activity. We did the lighthouse scuba dive. Never had the experience this close with the variety of fishes and corels. Must do while in Havelock and frogman makes scuba diving comfortable and relaxing. Founder Suchit is very professional and the instructors and divers are also very professional. They all know their responsibilities and passion. Neelkant, Ketan, Rubin and other divers were very patient and explained everything (does and don't) underwater. The team really makes u comfortable and tries to push themselves and us for an excellent experience. If time permits, will book this dive again. If not for sure next time.Posted on Aditya PVerified Fantastic first experience in scuba diving. We had a wonderful experience with Frogman. We had Neelkanth and Ketan sir as our diving instructors. It was our first time trying it out. The pre-training was very clear. In the first 10 minutes open sea, I even had a panic reaction, but Neelkanth sir calmly got me to the surface and explained my mistake patiently, and we went back underwater, and it went all superbly well!Posted on Sagar NVerified Scuba diving Amazing experience, Would recommendPosted on Sandeep KVerified scuba with frogman Awful experience...the divers are so good.Plzz try frogman once u never disappointPosted on Quest60314418233Verified Review of my scuba dive experience with frogman adventure Experience was very good and the price was Good and the instructors were very responsible and it was the best experience of my life .
