PADI Advanced Open Water Course in Andaman – Dive to 30m

Go deeper. 5 adventure dives over 2–3 days. Certified to 30 meters. No exams – just diving.

Course Overview: Less Theory, More Diving

If you hated the classroom sessions in your Open Water course, you will love the PADI Advanced course. There are no final exams and very little video watching.

This course is about practical application. You choose specific areas of diving that interest you (like buoyancy, photography, or wrecks) and complete a dive focused on that skill. It’s like a buffet of diving experiences!

Why Upgrade to Advanced?

  • Go Deeper: Your certification depth increases from 18m to 30m. This allows you to dive Havelock’s premier sites like Johnny’s Gorge and Dixon’s Pinnacle.

  • Better Buoyancy: We refine your trim and weighting so you consume less air.

  • Navigation: Learn to trust your compass and read the reef so you never get lost.

Who Is This For?

  • New Divers: Fresh out of Open Water who want to build confidence.

  • Rusty Divers: Who want a refresher with a purpose.

  • Age: 12+ Years (Junior Advanced) or 15+ Years (Full Advanced).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I do PADI Advanced if I did my Open Water with SSI or RAID?

Yes, absolutely. The certifications are interchangeable. Your Open Water card acts as the prerequisite regardless of the agency.

Is there an exam?

No. There are “Knowledge Reviews” to complete for each adventure dive (which you can do online or in the manual), but there is no stressful final exam.

What is the difference between PADI Advanced and RAID Advanced 35?

Both are excellent. PADI certifies you to 30m, while RAID certifies you to 35m. RAID also has a slightly heavier focus on horizontal trim/buoyancy. As a PADI center, we offer the PADI AOW for those who want the specific brand recognition.

Do I need my own dive computer?

It is highly recommended to own one by this stage, but if you don’t, Frogman provides dive computers for all Advanced students to use during the course.
