Emergency First Response is an internationally recognized CPR and First Aid training organization. The course focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers (that’s you!) to step in when faced with a medical emergency.

The Curriculum: Primary & Secondary Care

1. Primary Care (CPR)
Focuses on life-threatening emergencies. You will learn:

  • Scene Assessment & Barrier Use (Gloves/Masks).

  • CPR: Chest compressions and rescue breaths (practice on a mannequin).

  • AED Use: How to use an Automated External Defibrillator.

  • Choking management (Conscious and Unconscious).

  • Serious Bleeding management.

2. Secondary Care (First Aid)
Focuses on injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening. You will learn:

  • Injury Assessment.

  • Illness Assessment.

  • Bandaging and Splinting for dislocations and fractures.

  • Mandatory for Rescue Divers, but essential skills for parents and travelers.

    Do I need to be a diver to take this?

    No! This is a “dry” course conducted in our classroom. It is open to anyone – partners, family members, or non-diving friends.

    Is the certificate recognized globally?

    Yes. EFR is one of the largest international CPR/First Aid training agencies. Your card is accepted worldwide for workplace requirements and PADI prerequisites.

    How long does the certification last?

    The certification is valid for 24 months. After two years, you need to take a refresher course to keep your skills sharp and status active.

    Can I combine this with the Rescue Diver course?

    Yes. Most students take EFR immediately before starting their PADI Rescue Diver course. We usually schedule EFR on Day 1 and start Rescue scenarios on Day 2.
